APUA apologises for the inconvenience and advises customers that the ABC Centre (APUA Head Office) is currently unavailable due to unavoidable emergency circumstances.

As a result, Customer Service and Bill Payment services are temporarily unavailable. Additionally, the Information Centre is experiencing service disruptions, resulting in limited responses to the 211, 311, and 411 services, which are currently unavailable.

Our teams are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and will provide further updates as information becomes available.

UPDATE: APUA’s facilities have been cleared by police following a bomb scare earlier today. Authorities found no threat, and normal operations are resuming.

Bomb Threat Investigation Closes After APUA Buildings Cleared

Operations at the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) are returning to normal after a bomb scare led to the evacuation of staff from two facilities on Thursday morning.

Employees were evacuated from APUA’s former headquarters in Cassada Gardens and the APUA Business Centre on Independence Avenue after reports of a possible bomb threat.

Police conducted searches of both buildings and later confirmed there was no danger, giving the all-clear for staff to return.

The incident caused temporary disruptions to customer services, including bill payments and the Information Centre, affecting responses to the 211, 311 and 411 lines.

APUA apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience as emergency procedures were carried out.
