Senator Lamin Newton says Antigua and Barbuda is seeking to strengthen international partnerships following his participation in the Morocco-OECS Economic Promotion Week.
Newton said he represented the country at the forum, where officials explored opportunities to expand trade, attract investment and deepen economic cooperation between the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Morocco.
He said the discussions focused on building strategic relationships that can support entrepreneurship, sustainable development and long-term economic growth for small island developing states.
According to Newton, the event also allowed him to exchange ideas with regional and international partners and gather insights that could help advance Antigua and Barbuda’s development.
Newton said representing the country on the international stage provides opportunities to build relationships, learn from international partners and identify initiatives that could benefit the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
