The Permanent Delegation of the OECS in Geneva commemorated the 45th Anniversary of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) with a special reception at The Atrium at the World Trade Organization (WTO) Headquarters on June 19, one day after OECS Day.

The celebration showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean with a featured performance by acclaimed Antiguan and Barbudan pannist Khan Cordice, who captivated guests by leading last year’s pan music recital for the 44th OECS Anniversary. He was accompanied by Ms. Khadijah Simon, also from Antigua and Barbuda, on the keyboard.

The anniversary reception brought together diplomats, international partners, and members of the Caribbean community to celebrate 45 years of regional integration and cooperation.

The Permanent Delegation of the OECS in Geneva was established in 2005 in response to the lack of effective OECS presence in the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The Delegation monitors, analyses, and reports on developments and submits proposals to committees and councils.
