Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers has been awarded the King’s Police Medal (KPM), one of the highest honours for police service within the Commonwealth.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda announced the award on Wednesday, describing it as recognition of Jeffers’ distinguished service, exemplary leadership and commitment to policing and national security.
“The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda proudly congratulates Commissioner of Police Mr. Everton Jeffers, KPM, on being awarded the King’s Police Medal (KPM),” the force said in a statement.
The police said the prestigious honour recognises Jeffers’ contributions to law enforcement and his dedication to serving the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
The force also thanked the commissioner for his service and congratulated him on the achievement.
The King’s Police Medal is awarded to police officers in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries in recognition of distinguished or gallant service.
