Young people in All Saints West will have an opportunity to explore a range of career and training options during a free career fair on Sunday.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 19 at the parking lot across from the All Saints West Branch Office in All Saints Village.
Local and international guest presenters from Antigua and Barbuda, the United States and Canada are expected to participate. Attendees will be able to meet experienced professionals, receive career guidance and learn about education and training pathways.
The fair will feature technical fields including plumbing, electrical work, heavy-equipment operation, barbering and cosmetology, fashion design, dressmaking and construction design.
Professional pathways in accounting, law, medicine and nursing will also be presented, along with guidance on résumé writing and interview preparation.
“This is a great mentorship opportunity for the youth in All Saints West,” organiser Harold Lovell said.
Lovell said the initiative is intended to help young people develop skills, build professional networks and identify opportunities for future success.
Registration and admission are free. Additional information is available from Barbara Coates at 727-8617 or Collie Stevenson at 774-6513.
