Eleazer “Fresshy” Francis, a well-known businessman and community figure, was fatally shot at his Freemans Village business on Thursday morning.

Francis was reportedly attacked shortly after 8 a.m. at the superette he operated along Freemans Village Main Road. His death has shocked residents, many of whom remembered him as a beloved and respected member of the community.

He is Antigua and Barbuda’s latest homicide victim.

Police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible.
