ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — Residents of Glanvilles are expressing concern after thieves reportedly broke into the same home twice within two days, stealing cash, jewellery, electronics and other valuables.

The latest break-in left the home’s bedrooms ransacked, with drawers pulled open and their contents strewn across the floor as the intruders searched for valuables.

According to residents, the first burglary occurred earlier in the week. However, the suspects allegedly returned the following day and again gained access to the property, taking additional items before fleeing.

The repeated incidents have heightened fears among residents, who say the brazen nature of the crimes has left many feeling unsafe in their own homes.

Community members are urging authorities to increase police patrols in the area and are calling on anyone with information about the burglaries to come forward.

Police are expected to continue investigations into the incidents. No arrests have been reported.
