Police Commissioner Everton Jeffers says investigators are pursuing every lead into Thursday morning’s fatal shooting of Freeman’s Village businessman Eleazer “Fresshy” Francis.
Jeffers said two persons of interest are in custody following the shooting, which occurred around 8:30 a.m. at Francis’ supermarket. Preliminary investigations indicate that two men arrived in a silver vehicle and entered the business, where a confrontation reportedly occurred.
Francis, 60, was shot and died at the scene.
Jeffers said the investigation has been given the highest priority and appealed for anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or Crime Stoppers.
