Police Seek Public’s Help as Potters Murder Investigation Continues
Detectives investigating the killing of 29-year-old Leyandrew Hubbard believe information held by residents could help them make a breakthrough.
Hubbard died after gunmen opened fire from a vehicle in Potters on Sunday morning. Another victim, an 18-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition.
Police Commissioner Everton Jeffers said Thursday that several lines of inquiry are being explored. However, he indicated that solving the case may depend on witnesses sharing what they know.
Jeffers appealed for residents to report anything they noticed before, during or after the attack, even if it appears unimportant.
“We believe that there are individuals who may have seen, heard, or know something that could provide critical investigative information,” he said.
“Your assistance could make a difference in bringing those responsible to justice.”
