Education Ministry Promotes Two CXC Sessions on Reformed SBA Framework

    Article:

Students, parents, guardians, teachers and school administrators are being encouraged to participate in two virtual stakeholder engagement sessions on the Caribbean Examinations Council’s (CXC) reformed School-Based Assessment (SBA) Framework over the next two days.

The first session will be held on Thursday, July 30, at 4 p.m. AST and is geared toward principals, teachers and other education professionals. CXC said the session will provide an overview of the reformed SBA Framework, explain its implications for assessment requirements and allow participants to ask questions about the changes.

A second session, promoted by the Ministry of Education’s Education Broadcasting Unit, is scheduled for Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m. AST and is aimed at students, parents and guardians. The discussion will focus on helping families understand the SBA reforms, the revised assessment requirements and how the changes may affect students.

Both sessions are intended to provide stakeholders with a clearer understanding of the revised framework ahead of its implementation and to offer participants the opportunity to receive answers directly from CXC officials.

Interested persons can register using the QR code or registration link provided on the promotional flyers. Each session will also be streamed live on the MyCXC YouTube channel , allowing participants to follow the presentations remotely if they are unable to join via Zoom.
