A marijuana seizure valued at nearly EC$80,000 has resulted in three Jamaican nationals being remanded to prison.

Aljermin McLean, 25, Joshua Newton, 21, and Elvis Smith, 54, were jointly charged after police allegedly seized 26.4 pounds of marijuana during a September 14 operation.

The drugs were valued at about EC$79,000.

The men face charges of possession, possession with intent to supply and possession with intent to transfer. They are due back in court on November 25.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
