Premier Beverages will release a special commemorative bottle of English Harbour Rum to mark Antigua and Barbuda’s 45th anniversary of Independence.
Sports and Creative Industries Minister Dwayne George announced the initiative during the official launch of the Independence celebrations at Government House.
“We are particularly pleased to welcome Premier Beverages as a major sponsor of our 45th Anniversary celebrations,” George said.
“Premier Beverages will commemorate this milestone with a special 45th Anniversary commemorative bottle of English Harbour Rum, while also providing the official water for Independence 2026 and CHOGM.”
Antigua and Barbuda will celebrate 45 years of political independence on November 1, 2026.
George used the launch to thank businesses, organizations and individuals supporting the anniversary activities, describing their contributions as investments in the country.
“Your contribution is more than sponsorship. It is an investment in our culture. An investment in national pride. An investment in our people. And ultimately, an investment in Antigua and Barbuda,” he said.
The commemorative English Harbour Rum bottle will form part of activities surrounding the milestone anniversary, which is being celebrated under the theme, “Renaissance Rooted in Pride, Bounded by Prosperity for All.”
