Thieves broke into a container belonging to God Is Love Ministries in Antigua, stealing food, baby supplies and other items used in the charity’s work.
The break-in occurred late Tuesday night, according to an ABS
News
report. The stolen items included hygiene products, school supplies, a laptop computer and solar lights.
Ted Martin told ABS News that the thieves apparently used a heavy bolt cutter to gain access to the container.
Martin said a report had been filed with police and a forensic team visited the scene Wednesday as investigations continued.
The theft came just days after God Is Love Ministries made its latest donation to families in need on Sunday.
Members of the public are being urged to report anyone selling items they suspect may have been stolen from the charity, or any information that could assist the investigation, to police.
