A 36-year-old woman whose family appealed for help locating her after seven days without contact has come forward to clarify that she is not missing.
Tamisha Diamond Sylvester, also known as Diamond-Phoenix Sylvester, responded publicly to the missing-person appeal, explaining that her work schedule and restrictions on telephone use had prevented her from staying in regular contact.
“I am not missing. I have been at work on 12 hrs shifts and not on social media as much. I am an armed guard with Special Security and my phone is prohibited!!!” she wrote.
Sylvester, a Dominican national residing in Hatton Village, Antigua, had been the subject of a public appeal after her son reported being unable to reach her for seven days.
Her family had shared her photograph and physical description in the hope of obtaining information about her whereabouts.
Her public statement has now clarified the circumstances behind her lack of communication, bringing an end to concerns that she was missing.
