Travelers to Antigua and Barbuda are praising a newly launched digital Arrival and Departure system aimed at simplifying the airport experience at V.C. Bird International.
Accessible at ArriveAntigua.com, the platform allows passengers to complete customs and immigration forms online before their flight, eliminating paperwork and reducing wait times. Travelers who complete the form within 72 hours of travel receive a QR code for faster processing.
“It was easy, no pen, no paper, quicker immigration process,” said one UK visitor, reflecting widespread positive feedback.
The initiative is spearheaded by the Ministry of Tourism in partnership with Civil Aviation, Immigration, Customs, and other agencies.
Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez said the move is part of a broader push to boost the visitor experience. “ArriveAntigua.com is a major step toward ensuring travelers spend more time enjoying our beaches and less time in the terminal.”
The system features automatic passport scanning and a quick customs questionnaire. Future updates will include access for seaport travelers and private jet arrivals.
