    Jamal Prince charged with unlawfully possession of gun and ammunition

    St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Wednesday, 18 June 2025

    The police have arrested and charged a 39-year-old Jamall Prince of Seatons with unlawful possession of one (1) 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol, and unlawful possession of fifteen (15) 9mm rounds of ammunition.

    Around 3:40 a.m. on Tuesday, 17 June, police officers were at Seatons conducting an operation when the accused ran from a property. The officers pursued and apprehended him and, recovered the illegal weapon. He was arrested and taken into custody and subsequently charged for the offences.

    The police continue to intensify their efforts to remove illegal firearms from off the streets, and are also encouraging members of the public to report any suspicious activities by contacting the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

    Prince is expected to appear before the court sometime today.
