A Jamaican national reportedly wanted for murder in his home country has been detained by police in Antigua and Barbuda following an operation in Liberta.
Police officers, assisted by members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Task Force, carried out the operation on Thursday morning, where they located and arrested the suspect.
Sources said the man resides in Cedar Valley.
During the operation, officers reportedly searched a motor van occupied by the suspect in his presence and seized several electronic devices as part of the ongoing investigation.
The vehicle was subsequently taken to Police Headquarters for safekeeping, while the suspect was transported to the St. John’s Police Station along with the seized items.
Investigations are ongoing.
