Scheduled direct flights between Antigua and Barbuda and Lagos, Nigeria, are expected to begin by the fourth quarter of 2025, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced.

Speaking in Parliament during debate on an Air Services Agreement with Rwanda, Mr Browne said negotiations are also ongoing with Ghana and other West African nations to improve regional connectivity.

The Prime Minister highlighted Air Peace’s role in keeping LIAT (2020) operational for over a year, crediting the Nigerian airline’s investment with maintaining vital air links in the Caribbean.

The upcoming route is expected to boost tourism, trade and cultural ties between the Caribbean and West Africa.
