With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we hear of the passing of Mrs. Nickesha Burton, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and community pillar, who transitioned from this life on May 20, 2025. She served the ABRCS as a member and volunteer for many years.

Mrs. Burton was a beacon of grace, compassion, and strength. Known for her unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her community, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Whether through her professional work as a crossing guard, volunteer service, or simple everyday kindness, she exemplified love in action.

Nickesha carried herself with a quiet elegance and a deep well of wisdom. She was a guiding light to many — a mentor, a confidante, and a source of comfort in difficult times.

Her laughter was uplifting, her words full of encouragement, and her presence a blessing to all who crossed her path. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, integrity, and boundless love.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who carry her memory forward.

On behalf of the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, especially her mother, our very own, Mrs. Sherilyn Anthony, her children, her husband, siblings, and all those grieving this profound loss.

May you find comfort in the countless beautiful memories and in the knowledge that her impact will never fade.

Rest in Peace, Mrs. Nickesha Burton. You will forever be missed, forever loved, and forever remembered.

Dr. J. Humpherys, MD, ABRCS President
