A cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) experience highlighting Antigua and Barbuda’s top attractions has received strong endorsement from the Cabinet, following its debut at the Caribbean Travel Marketplace.

The immersive tool, which offers viewers a 360-degree digital tour of the twin-island nation, was singled out for praise by Prime Minister Gaston Browne and other senior officials, who described it as an innovative step forward in destination marketing.

During Thursday’s post-Cabinet media briefing, Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant confirmed that the VR experience will be incorporated into future tourism promotions and may also be adopted by the Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP) unit.

“The Cabinet was very impressed with the virtual reality presentation,” Merchant said. “It allows potential visitors and investors to experience Antigua and Barbuda up close, even before they arrive.”

The initiative is part of the government’s wider strategy to modernise its international marketing efforts and position the country as a leading destination for tourism, investment, and business.

Officials believe the technology will strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s competitive edge in the global market, especially as the country prepares to host major international events.
