Heidenheim, Germany – May 24, 2025 — Rising fencing talent Nayla Martin has wrapped up her debut season with an impressive performance at the German National Fencing Championships. Held today in Heidenheim, the competition brought together 70 of Germany’s top-ranked fencers, where Martin advanced to the quarterfinals and secured a national ranking of 26th overall.

Representing the Süd Baden region, Martin also clinched the #1 ranking in Süd Baden for the season — a remarkable achievement for her first competitive year.

Nayla is the daughter of Antiguan soca star Zamoni, but she’s quickly carving out her own name in the world of sport. Her determination, discipline, and raw talent have not only impressed the German fencing community but have also made waves back home in Antigua and Barbuda.

With the fencing season now concluded, Martin’s accomplishments hint at a promising future on the international stage — one where she continues to make her country and family proud.
