As you prepare to take your Common Entrance Exams, I want you to pause for just a moment and feel the pride that surrounds you, not only from your teachers and your families but from your entire community, and indeed, our entire nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
We are proud of you.
You have worked so hard, and every step you’ve taken to reach this moment is already a success in itself. These exams are not a measure of your worth. They are a stepping stone. A bridge to the next chapter of your life. One chapter in a story that is still being written, with endless pages of possibility ahead.
This is just one step. Do not overthink it. Do not undervalue it. Cherish it. Live fully in this moment, knowing that everything you need is already within you.
Settle your mind. Steady your thoughts. Walk into that exam room already knowing that you are capable. You are strong. You are intelligent. You are enough.
No matter what the results may say, they do not define you. Your character, your courage, your dreams, your kindness, these are the things that shape your greatness. And we see that greatness in you already.
You are the future of our nation. You are the hope we hold in our hearts. We think so highly of you. We love you. We cherish you. And we are all cheering you on. Every one of us, from every corner of St. John’s Rural South, and from every parish across Antigua and Barbuda.
We are looking forward to what comes next. The new friendships. The discoveries. The growth. The dreams you will chase and the goals you will achieve. Let this moment be one that reminds you of how far you’ve come and how far you will go.
There is no mountain too high. You are capable. You will do this.
Good luck, and may God continue to bless and guide you throughout this journey.
