    Resort Worker Granted Bail in Theft Case

    A Parham man accused of stealing over $6,000 worth of equipment from Galley Bay Resort and Spa has been granted bail.

    Damien Francis pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Wednesday to charges of stealing a $3,000 air conditioning unit and a Samsung television valued at more than $3,000.

    Francis, who is representing himself, was released on $8,000 bail, with a $2,000 cash deposit. As part of his bail conditions, he must report to the Parham Police Station three times a week and has surrendered his passport.

    The case is set to resume on 6 November.
