The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries, and the Blue Economy in collaboration with the Ministry of Education will be hosting the first Internship Program from Monday, 30th June until 25th July, 2025. The programme will offer a month-long exposure in various areas within the Agricultural sector for fifteen fifth-form Agricultural Science students from Government Secondary Schools.

The selected students will receive hands-on applications/experiences in areas such as agro-processing, animal production, aquaponics, beekeeping, crop production, drone operation, fisheries and hydroponics.

The internship was designed to bridge the gap between classroom theoretical knowledge and the real-world practicalities/challenges of food security, food sovereignty, sustainable farming and the dynamics of the sector. Only youths with serious intentions to pursue professions and entrepreneurships within the sector will be considered.
