From July 18–20, the Nolan Hue Foundation hosted its highly anticipated Youth Empowerment Retreat 2025 at the scenic Jolly Beach Resort in St. Mary, Antigua. The annual retreat welcomed over 30 young people from across Antigua for a transformative weekend of leadership development, self-discovery, and community building.

The Youth Empowerment Retreat is a flagship initiative of the Nolan Hue Foundation, designed to inspire, equip, and connect young people with the tools and confidence they need to become agents of positive change. Throughout the weekend, participants engaged in dynamic workshops, interactive panel discussions, team-building challenges, and wellness-focused sessions, all aimed at fostering personal growth and resilience.

Imani Sinclair, Operations Manager at the Nolan Hue Foundation, reflected on the retreat’s lasting impact:“The retreat is about more than just learning — it’s about transformation. We saw young people arrive with uncertainty and leave with renewed purpose and belief in themselves. They walked away not just with knowledge, but with community. Watching them connect, express themselves, and support one another was incredibly powerful and is the reason we do what we do at Nolan Hue.”

Participant Orie Martin shared hir experience, stating:“I came to the retreat feeling unsure of my direction, but I left feeling empowered and ready to take on the world. The sessions, the connections, and the energy were exactly what I needed. I’m grateful for the opportunity and the family I’ve found in Nolan Hue.”

This year’s retreat featured engaging sessions on financial stability, public speaking, career readiness, artificial intelligence, and mental health. These sessions were led by a diverse lineup of local and international professionals, including:

    • Mr. Andre Cleghorn (Jamaica)
    • Mr. Kevin Mussington
    • Mr Andrew Doumith
    • Ms. Regina Adams
    • Mr. Leon Norville
    • Mr. Anwar Joseph
    • Mr. Regis Burton, CEO of the Nolan Hue Foundation

One of the most memorable moments of the retreat was the bonfire and reflection circle, where participants shared their personal breakthroughs, bonded through storytelling, and celebrated the vibrant heritage of Antigua and the wider Caribbean through music, dance, and cultural expression.

The Nolan Hue Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all sponsors, partners, facilitators, and volunteers whose unwavering support made this life-changing event possible. Your belief in the power and potential of young people continues to drive our mission forward.
