Prime Minister Gaston Browne has arrived in Grenada for the 2025 AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF), where over 1,800 delegates are expected to gather for high-level discussions on boosting economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean.

Browne received a warm welcome at Maurice Bishop International Airport ahead of the two-day event in St George’s. He is joined by Port Manager Darwin Telemaque, Ambassador Devin Joseph, and other government officials.

ACTIF, now in its fourth year, is organised by Afreximbank in partnership with CARICOM and aims to deepen trade, investment, and cultural collaboration across key sectors including agriculture, tourism, and finance.

Despite current trade levels between Africa and the Caribbean accounting for less than 1% of total exports, recent forecasts from the International Trade Centre suggest this could grow to over US$2.1 billion in the coming years.

This year’s forum, running from 28–29 July, centres on resilience and transformation amid global challenges and is seen as a critical platform for advancing shared prosperity across both regions.
