    Saint Lucia Sweeps Antigua and Barbuda in ECVA Men’s Final Four

    Saint Lucia swept Antigua and Barbuda 3-0 in the ECVA Men’s Final Four volleyball tournament Saturday night at the YMCA, strengthening its bid for the championship.

    The set scores were 25-15, 25-23, 25-19. Top scorers included Tevin St. Jean of Saint Lucia with 13 points, and Antigua’s Cairon Davis and Erwin Mathurine, who each had 13.

    Earlier in the day, Antigua defeated Dominica 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22). Adrian Constant led the winners with 18 points, while Davis and Immanuel Donovan added strong defensive efforts. Dominica’s Yahn Florent scored a match-high 22 points. Teammates Sidney John and James Nester also contributed with consistent play.

    The opener saw Dominica edge Antigua in the first set before Antigua rallied with tactical adjustments to win the next three.

    In the other match, Saint Lucia beat Grenada 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17). St. Jean again starred with 22 points, while Grenada’s Darron Oxford finished with 19.

    With both Antigua and Saint Lucia recording wins, the teams are set for a rematch Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the YMCA. Grenada and Dominica will meet in the bronze-medal match at 6 p.m.
