The Police and Customs have made another significant drug seizure at one of the nation’s main port of entry.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, officers attached to the Narcotics Department, K-9 Unit, and Customs conducted a joint drug operation at the Deep Water Harbor Custom Cargo Shed. During the search, a brown cardboard box with fourteen (14) vacuum-sealed packages containing the controlled drug cannabis was discovered.

The packages were transported to Police Headquarters, where they were weighed and amounted to thirteen and a half (13½) pounds. The estimated street value of the seizure is $81,000.

The Police Administration commends the continued efforts of the Narcotics Department, Customs Enforcement, and other supporting agencies in their fight against the trafficking of illegal drugs. Members of the public are encouraged to continue supporting the police in their efforts.
