The Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) has signed a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Airport Services Antigua (ASA) covering the period August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2028.

Workers are set to benefit from a 9% wage increase over the life of the agreement, ensuring fairer compensation as the company solidifies its position in the market.

The agreement also includes increases in several allowances for workers, to include the Call-Out, Laundry and Honey Bucket Allowance, providing enhanced support for employees’ day-to-day needs.

Looking ahead, the next round of negotiations will prioritise the establishment of a comprehensive health insurance policy for staff, in keeping with the Union’s commitment to the long-term well-being of its members.

Senior Industrial Relations Officer, Fernando Samuel, expressed optimism about future negotiations.

_“As the company continues to grow with the acquisition of new carriers, we anticipate that the staff will realise greater benefits.”_

The Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union remains committed to advancing fair wages, improved conditions, and greater security for workers across all sectors.
