Teen sprinter Tyra Fenton has qualified for the CARIFTA Games 2026, set to be held in Grenada , after securing automatic qualification in three sprint events.

The Antigua Barbuda Athletic Association announced that Fenton, competing in the Under-17 girls category, qualified in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres. She will also return to defend her CARIFTA title in the 400 metres.

The association described the achievement as a reflection of Fenton’s consistency and performance level, noting that she will once again represent Antigua and Barbuda on the regional stage at one of the Caribbean’s premier junior athletics competitions.

The CARIFTA Games are scheduled for 2026 in Grenada and bring together the region’s top junior athletes from across the Caribbean.
