Defeated All Saints West candidate Harold Lovell has congratulated Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate Anthony Smith following his victory in the All Saints West constituency.

In a statement after Thursday’s general election, Lovell acknowledged the outcome while expressing appreciation to those who supported his campaign.

“I extend sincere congratulations to Anthony Smith on his victory in All Saints West,” Lovell said, adding that while the result was not what he had hoped for, he respects the will of the people.

Lovell thanked supporters for their efforts throughout the campaign, describing their commitment and energy as invaluable.

“To every supporter who stood with me throughout this journey… your support, energy, and commitment mean more than words can express,” he said.

Reflecting on his time representing the constituency, Lovell said it had been an honour to serve the people of All Saints West and reaffirmed his intention to remain engaged in national and community development.

“I remain committed to our community and to the continued development of our nation,” he said.
