Residents in the Lightfoot community are set to benefit from a new bulk waste cleanup initiative launched this weekend by St Peter MP Rawdon Turner as part of a wider constituency beautification effort.
In a statement, Mr Turner said the programme forms part of an ongoing commitment to creating “cleaner, safer, and more beautiful communities” across the constituency.
He described the initiative as the first phase of a broader campaign that will extend to other communities in St Peter in the coming weeks.
“This initiative is only the beginning,” the MP said, adding that the effort aims to improve both the environment and the overall quality of life for residents.
Mr Turner also called on members of the public to support the campaign and participate in maintaining cleaner surroundings.
The cleanup exercise is expected to focus on the removal of bulky waste and unwanted debris from residential areas as part of wider community enhancement efforts.
