A dispute over a wallet reportedly ended in violence on St. Mary’s Street, leaving a young man hospitalized with stab wounds.

Information reaching authorities suggests the victim had been sitting inside a mobile phone store when his wallet accidentally dropped to the floor. Another patron who entered the establishment allegedly picked up the item.

The incident reportedly intensified after the wallet’s owner requested its return. The individual who had taken possession of it is alleged to have begun taking cash from the wallet before attempting to walk away.

The victim reportedly followed him outside, where an argument broke out. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly used a pair of scissors to wound the man and then escaped.
