The Honours Committee wishes to remind members of the public that the deadline for the submission of nominations for consideration for the 2026 National Honours is Friday, 31 July 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

This is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate outstanding individuals and institutions whose exceptional service, dedication and achievements have made a significant contribution to Antigua and Barbuda.

Nominations are invited for consideration for membership in:

    • The Most Distinguished Order of the Nation
    • The Most Illustrious Order of Merit
    • The Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage

The Committee encourages members of the public, community organisations, professional bodies, churches, clubs and other institutions to nominate deserving persons or organisations whose service has positively impacted their communities or the nation.

Individuals nominated should have demonstrated distinguished or meritorious service, integrity, selfless commitment and sustained excellence in their chosen field or in service to the people of Antigua and Barbuda. Institutions may also be nominated where they have made an outstanding contribution to the promotion, development or protection of the nation’s arts, history, cultural heritage or humanitarian endeavours.

Nomination forms, together with guidance notes, are available from the Office of the Governor General. Nominations should be accompanied by as much supporting information as possible, including at least two letters of support from persons familiar with the nominee’s contribution.

Completed nomination forms should be submitted to:

    The Secretary
    Honours Committee
    Government House
    Independence Drive
    St. John‘s, Antigua
    Antigua and Barbuda

Signed scanned copies may also be emailed to hcabgov@gmail.com , with a copy to govgenab@gmail.com.

Members of the public are encouraged not to wait until the final day to submit nominations. Early submissions allow the Honours Committee sufficient time to acknowledge receipt and begin the assessment process.

The Honours Committee urges all citizens and residents to take this opportunity to ensure that the exceptional service and achievements of deserving individuals and institutions receive the national recognition they have earned.

The deadline for the receipt of nominations is Friday, 31 July 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Submissions received after this deadline will be considered for the 2027 National Honours.
