The Money Team are the 2026 NPPA Team Champions, ending the two-year reign of the Titans with a commanding 5-4 victory on championship night to capture the series 4-1 and lift the coveted title.

If there were any nerves, they certainly didn’t show them.

With the championship within reach, Money Team stormed out of the gates and delivered four straight victories, placing one hand firmly on the trophy before the defending champions could find their footing.

Keon “KT” set the tone, defeating Nalda in two straight racks.

Michael Selal, the league’s winningest player, followed with a statement performance, avenging the previous night’s defeat by dispatching Scarface in straight racks.

Antonio then overwhelmed Chapo, and Hurricane Hugo outplayed Peck, giving Money Team a stunning 4-0 lead and four chances to seal the championship.

But champions rarely surrender quietly.

With their dynasty hanging by a thread, Titans finally came alive.

Captain Bad ignited the comeback with a composed straight-rack victory, giving his team its first point of the night.

Stamma then looked poised to end the contest after taking the opening rack against Ses, but couldn’t convert.

Money Team captain Pooran came even closer, recovering to force a deciding rack and earning a chance on the eight ball to claim the title. The pressure proved too much, and the opportunity slipped away.

The drama continued.

Navin was next to find himself with championship-winning chances after recovering from an opening-rack loss to My Boy, but twice failed to finish the decisive eight ball. My Boy capitalized, leveling the night at four matches apiece and giving Titans renewed belief that an Improbable comeback was within reach.

Everything came down to one final match.

For Titans, the responsibility rested on the shoulders of Cueball Ricky, a player who had enjoyed an outstanding regular season but struggled to reproduce that form during the playoffs. Across the table stood Terry, carrying the hopes of the Money Team.

When the decisive moments arrived, Terry held his nerve.

The final ball dropped, the room erupted, and months of determination gave way to celebration as Money Team completed their championship journey.

No player embodied that championship mentality more than Michael Selal.

Already regarded as one of the league’s elite competitors, Selal delivered another commanding performance on the biggest stage, earning Player of the Match honours. More significantly, the victory secured his third NPPA championship gold medal, making him the first player in league history to achieve that remarkable milestone.

As the lights dim on the 2026 season, one thing is certain: a new champion now sits on the throne.

The Titans leave behind a legacy that helped shape the modern era of NPPA competition.
