_GRAYS FARM MAN CHARGED WITH BREAK-IN, LARCENY & MALICIOUS DAMAGE_
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda
The police have arrested and charged 40-year-old Tony Fontaine of Grays Farm in connection with a break-in at Sunny Limited on Long Street, where more than $53,000 worth of merchandise was reportedly stolen.
Fontaine is charged with Breaking and Entering and Larceny, as well as Malicious Damage to the company’s CCTV system.
The offences are alleged to have occurred sometime between August 10 and August 11, 2026, when Sunny Limited was reportedly broken into and a substantial quantity of merchandise and other property was stolen.
Among the items reported stolen were sneakers and other footwear, clothing, jeans, school bags, suitcases, travelling bags, speakers, solar lights, solar radios, a washing machine, refrigerator, card machine, children’s personal-care products, and two DVR systems.
The total value of the property allegedly stolen is approximately EC$53,201.
Fontaine is further accused of maliciously damaging the establishment’s CCTV system, valued at approximately EC$50,000, during the alleged incident.
He is expected to appear before the court sometime today to answer to the charges.
