More than 40 Agricultural Science teachers attended the Ministry of Education’s annual seminar and workshop on September 2.

Held under the theme “Growing Greatness,” the event prepared educators for the 2026–2027 school year through discussions on food production, artificial intelligence and challenges affecting agricultural education.

Teachers explored ways to turn local crops into value-added products, while Dr Andrew Hunte encouraged them to use tools such as ChatGPT in the classroom. Officials also discussed irrigation projects and the possible introduction of Agricultural Science studies at The UWI Five Islands Campus.

Several educators were recognised for their outstanding service.
