OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) has been made aware of an incident involving our members at the Royalton Resort on October 21st, 2026 and formally wishes to apologize for any distress experienced by staff, patrons, and fellow youth parliamentarians.
While the Association acknowledges the seriousness of the situation and remains committed to upholding the principles of integrity, accountability, discipline, and mutual respect, we wish to clarify that the President of the Association was not involved at any point during the incident.
We recognize the importance of addressing matters of this nature responsibly and wish to assure the public that the Association is addressing the matter through our internal disciplinary process to ensure that the circumstances, including any allegations of reckless driving, are thoroughly reviewed.
As an organization dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders, we maintain that all members, regardless of their position, are expected to demonstrate conduct consistent with the values and standards of the Association.
The dedication, hard work, and meaningful contributions of the many young parliamentarians to youth development, civic engagement, and national service deserve to be judged on their own merit, and not tarnished by the conduct of any member.
The Association wishes to thank the public for the continued interest and support of the nation’s youth.
