Prime Minister Gaston Browne says he will bring concerns about the condition of St. John’s bus stations before Cabinet for consideration.
Responding to a caller, Browne acknowledged that structural deficiencies required government attention and said the facilities should be considered for upgrades.
He also urged passengers and operators to help keep the stations clean by properly disposing of garbage and avoiding practices that contribute to unsanitary conditions.
Browne distinguished the government’s responsibility for infrastructure from users’ responsibility to maintain cleanliness.
He said the matter would be placed on Cabinet’s agenda but announced no budget or timetable for improvements.
