Your Excellency, on behalf of the Government and people of Antigua and Barbuda, I extend our deepest gratitude to the Government of India for its generous donation of mini vans and motorcycles in support of our nation’s hosting of the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

This timely contribution is far more than a gesture of goodwill. It is a most tangible demonstration of India’s enduring friendship and its commitment to the success of our hosting of CHOGM. These vehicles will unquestionably strengthen our logistical capacity, ensuring that we can welcome the Commonwealth family with the efficiency, dignity and warmth for which Antigua and Barbuda is known.

We commend the Government of India for your visionary leadership and spirit of partnership with small island developing states. India’s generosity reflects a profound understanding of the challenges we face and a genuine willingness to stand with us. For this, we are truly grateful.

This donation is also a powerful testament to the strong and growing bilateral cooperation between our two nations; a partnership rooted in shared values, mutual respect and a common vision for a more prosperous and connected world.
