Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya will lead Sri Lanka’s delegation to the 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2026), scheduled to take place in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, from November 1 to 4.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, the Prime Minister will join leaders from the Commonwealth’s 56 member countries at the summit, held under the theme “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth.”

During the summit, Amarasuriya will participate in executive sessions and the Leaders’ Retreat, where Sri Lanka is expected to present its priorities on economic cooperation, investment, digital transformation, youth empowerment, climate change and good governance.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with several heads of state and government, as well as political and business leaders, aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s diplomatic, trade and development partnerships.

She will also address the Commonwealth Women’s Forum, the Commonwealth Leaders and CEOs Investment Summit, and the Global Eye Health Summit.
