A young man believed to be in his 20s is reportedly in critical condition at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after being shot in the chest.

Unconfirmed reports suggest he was travelling in a vehicle with a woman when two people emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire.

There are also claims that the pair had been followed before the shooting.

The vehicle reportedly sustained several bullet holes and is said to be at the medical centre.

The man’s identity, along with the time and location of the incident, remains unknown.

Police have not officially confirmed the shooting or the circumstances surrounding it.
