Angela Mejia, charged with the murder of nine-year-old Chantel Crump, is expected to appear in court today for the second time.
The accused remains without legal representation, having requested a lawyer during her initial court appearance in March. She has been on remand at His Majesty’s Prison since then.
Chantel was last seen on 12 March getting into a silver Honda in Gray’s Farm. Her body was discovered days later, reportedly after Mejia led police to the location.
The case has provoked widespread public grief and national attention.
