The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending a suspect believed to be involved in a shooting incident that left two young men nursing injuries at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, 26 June along #1 Armstrong Road. A 17-year-old of Armstrong Road and 19-year-old of Golden Grove Extension were both shot while walking along the said road.
Reports indicate that the victims were heading south on Armstrong Road when they heard several loud explosions. A male suspect was reportedly seen fleeing the scene after the incident, dressed in a black hoodie.
Both victims were transported to the hospital, where they are being treated for gunshot wounds to the ankle and upper back. Medical personnel have confirmed that the injuries are not life-threatening.
