Shanoy Malone and Emily Gaillard will represent Antigua and Barbuda at the 2025 Youth Sailing World Championships in Portugal, competing in the ILCA 6 one-person dinghy divisions for men and women.

The championships are scheduled to begin Dec. 12 and will bring together top youth sailors from around the world.

Antigua and Barbuda has a long-standing sailing tradition, and the selection of two athletes for the global event reflects the country’s continued focus on youth development and international competition.

Both sailors have progressed through the Antigua Yacht Club’s grassroots programmes, local regattas and the World Sailing Emerging Nations Programme.

Their selection also highlights the ongoing efforts of the Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association to develop young talent and provide opportunities for exposure at the highest levels of the sport.
