Minister of Health Sir Molwyn Joseph said that he is hoping to receive a report from the chief architect in charge of the Kingdom Hall rehabilitation project this week, with the assessment on what is needed to transform the former Jehovah’s Witnesses building to a wellness facility.

The project is now overdue beyond initial projections.

Speaking to Observer media last week, Sir Molwyn said: “Last week I called the architect, and he promised me I would have gotten it, so I will have a call with him soon because it’s taking longer than he projected.”

The government purchased the six-acre facility in January 2025, announcing plans to convert it to serve as a wellness centre focusing on short-term care for patients in recovery.

Meanwhile, the Tomlinson Cemetery remains on track for its June 16 opening date, despite recent weather-related delays.

According to the minister, remaining infrastructure work on the cemetery grounds focuses on ensuring proper access for funeral attendees.

The ministry plans to complete the remaining work once weather conditions improve.
