As part of ongoing Women’s Month celebrations, the female members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) showcased their technical skills and marksmanship during two competitive events held at the Crabbs Training Area: a Weapon Stripping and Assembly challenge and a Shooting Competition.
The Shooting Competition featured four firing positions—prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing—testing participants’ accuracy, control, and adaptability. Demonstrating outstanding marksmanship, Corporal (Cpl) Joseph L claimed 1st Place, followed by Leading Seaman (LS) Stephens Z in 2nd Place, and Private Second Class (PSC) Hull K in 3rd Place.
In the Weapon Stripping and Assembly challenge, which was timed, competitors were judged on speed, precision, and technical proficiency. Private First Class (PFC) Shaw S secured 1st Place, while Cpl Joseph L and LS Stephens Z earned 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively.
The ABDF commends all participants for their dedication, discipline, and skill as they continue to highlight the vital role of women in national defense.
