Medical Director of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, Dr Shivon Belle Jarvis has attained another seminal academic milestone. Dr Belle Jarvis graduated on Wednesday from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health degree.

Dr Belle Jarvis reacts to the achievement, telling ABS News, “I was indeed humbled to learn from some of the most brilliant minds across the globe! I am inspired by the possibility to innovate change and accept the challenge to be the transformative leader that is required.

My aim is be a part of the team that safeguards our nation’s health where we transform our healthcare system into one which persons can confidently access and rely upon for efficient service.”

Dr Belle Jarvis was accompanied to the graduation by her husband, Jermaine, mother Barbara Belle, children, as well as brothers Dr. Branson Belle and Dr. Stuart Belle.

Dr Belle Jarvis has been commended for her efforts to ensure greater accountability and efficiency at SLBMC, months after being confirmed in the role.
