LETTER: Commendations to the Evangelical Association for the prayer-cade but using one route was not enough.

    Dear Editor

Although I was quite impressed with the turnout for the prayer-cade that took place on Sunday last, I think that using the route alone from parliament drive to Five Islands defeated the purpose of the prayer-cade.

First, I must commend & compliment the organizers along with the the believers who were involved, for taking such a strident action. It is perhaps something that should be done once quarterly.

The voices of the believers need to be heard in unison, throughout the length & breadth of the country…. There are too many criminals & devilish activities taking place among our young people and also with our seniors behind close doors.

Although I would agree that the Gray’s Green community is a troubled area, I was left wondering as to why other communities were not looked at the sametime, since the island has many churches constructed in each parish.

In the future, if the prayer-cade is an instrument used by the Evangelical Association to heal the nation, then the association should zone off the entire island and perhaps look at using two groups in each zone and utilize two main arteries in the zones to simultaneously spread the word.
