Police are investigating a robbery in Villa on Friday night that left a man wounded and stripped of his belongings.

The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on August 15, when the victim was walking along a by-road. Reports indicate that two young men approached him from behind and snatched a bag he was carrying. During the struggle, the victim was stabbed in the right shoulder.

Among the stolen items were a gold chain with a Jesus pendant and $600 in cash. The attackers escaped through a nearby by-road, and a subsequent search of the area did not locate them.

The victim was provided with a medical form and advised to seek treatment. Police say several individuals have been interviewed, but no useful information has yet been obtained. Investigations remain ongoing.
